To realize this dream, we are seeking a highly motivated Head of Finance with startup and/or SMB experience to drive revenue growth and investments in the DACH and US markets, and lead our small finance team to manage daily finances.


As a Head of Finance, you'll be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial leadership and guidance during this exciting period as you help us grow from a 60-people scale-up to 150+ global professional services powerhouse. 
You are an analytical leader with a passion for building and leading a small, highly effective finance team. We pride ourselves on leveraging technology to automate as many finance processes as possible, keeping our finance team very lean - and we expect you to continue innovating with technology as much as with people. 
To compliment your tech-savvy leadership, you're also keen to get your hand dirty and deeply understand and improve our financial operations.
You possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for all levels of the organization. Job requirements

Who are you? 

  • Cross-functional, full-stack builder - you have done all aspects of finance, and know how to build and scale finance systems and teams from 0 to 1 to 10.  
  • Action-oriented system optimizer - you have start-up/scale-up/ SMB experience where you had to make tough trade-offs to get things done. 
  • Driven problem solver - you enable C-level decision-making by turning financial data into simple, actionable insights
  • Financial evangelist - you are accustomed to educating non-experts about the importance and urgency of keeping your finances neat and tidy.

What will you do? 

  • Control and manage daily financial operations including accounting, bank payments, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, month-end closing, year-end closing and tax changes/refunds.
  • Ensure legal and audit compliance in line with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, develop and implement internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and data.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall goals and objectives, and work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that financial considerations are integrated into all key business decisions.
  • Manage all financial relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and provide regular updates to the executive team on key financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, including recruiting, training, and developing team members, and ensuring that the team is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for our company, and provide strategic guidance and advice to the senior leadership team on financial matters.
  • Manage debt and financing arrangements for SnapSoft, and identify opportunities for additional capital to support our growth and expansion in the US market.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of financial operations and processes, and identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.


What is your experience level?


Core qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree appreciated
  • 6+ years of experience in financial and accounting management, preferably in the tech industry or in a professional services company undergoing rapid growth or expansion
  • Multiple years of experience in start-up, scale-up or SMB in a financial leadership role (manager and above)
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with the executive team, clients and other external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a finance team and work collaboratively with other members of SnapSoft and the senior leadership team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a track record of driving financial results and achieving business goals
  • Knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax laws and regulations, as well as experience working with Hungarian financial institutions

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Experience with fundraising and financing, including debt and equity financing, as well as familiarity with financial instruments and capital markets
  • Knowledge of US accounting and tax laws and regulations, as well as experience working with US-based investors and lenders, preferred
