As an Engineering Manager (AWS, cloud engineering), you will be responsible for leading a cloud engineering team on varied customer projects while also architecting cloud-centric solutions based on customers’ needs. At SnapSoft, we perform end-to-end delivery from architecture design to implementation, where you can be part of constructing the cloud infrastructure of international companies, mainly in fintech, aviation, telco, and edtech industries. With your expertise, you will help our customers achieve and maintain robust availability, resilience, and scalability in their cloud-based products while ensuring their infrastructure's security and compliance.

Job requirements

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and mentoring a cloud engineering  team of 5-7 cloud engineers, fostering collaboration, and ensuring delivery excellence

  • Providing direct line management, coaching, and professional development for a team of cloud engineers and migration specialists

  • Fostering a high-performing, technically excellent team focused on secure and scalable migrations.

  • Navigates uncertainty by providing clarity to the team and managing the emotional health of the organization during high-pressure delivery cycles.

  • Driving recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for your team

  • Balances focus between people management and project delivery.

  • Functions as the technical peer to Solutions Architects, providing a leadership perspective on architectural decisions and project strategy.

  • Owning the end-to-end solution as a key decision-maker and aligning customer needs with technical outcomes

  • Facilitating customer workshops, refinement sessions, and planning discussions to define clear delivery goals

  • Architecting and implementing complex AWS infrastructures and zero-day compliant landing zones

  • Reviewing and remediating customer solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework

  • Driving migrations from on-premises and other cloud providers (GCP, Azure, Heroku) into AWS

  • Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments

  • Defining infrastructures as code with Terraform (Terragrunt preferred) or AWS CloudFormation

  • Staying up to date with AWS innovations and driving SnapSoft’s AWS Partner journey by contributing to Competency and Service Delivery Programs

You are looking for us, if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams, with a proven ability to manage senior technical engineers.

  • Experience with time-tracking systems (e.g., Clockify), capacity planning, and formal performance review frameworks.

  • Client facing skills for driving refinements and planning sessions with the customer

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS

  • In-depth knowledge of standard AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, IAM, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, EKS, CloudFront, EFS/EBS, SecurityHUB, Guard Duty, CloudWatch, AWS Application Migration Service, KMS, PCA and similar

  • 3+ years of experience in at least one Infrastructure as a Code technology like Terraform (preferred), AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, AWS CDK or similar

  • 3+ years of experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket or similar)

  • 2+ years of experience in creating and running container-based applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, VPN) and related AWS Services (CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53, ELB)

  • Strong understanding of security concepts (IAM, PoLP, Access Control, Endpoint Security, Data Encryption)

  • In-depth knowledge of standard AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS

  • Excellent problem-solving skills for use-case-specific architecture design and implementation

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead teams and engage customers effectively

  • AWS Professional/Specialty Certification is preferred
