As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS. At SnapSoft, we perform end-to-end delivery from architecture design to implementation, where you can be part of constructing the cloud infrastructure of international companies, mainly in fintech, aviation, telco and edtech industries. With your expertise, you will help our customers achieve and maintain robust availability, resilience and scalability in their cloud-based products while ensuring their infrastructure's security and compliance.
Job requirements
What you’ll be doing:
Drive designing and building AWS infrastructure and landing zones
Define AWS infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu with Terragrunt, or AWS CloudFormation, and build CI/CD pipelines
Lead migrations of customer workloads from on-premises (on-prem), GCP, Azure, or Heroku to AWS
Review and remediate customer cloud solutions using AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and best practices
Participate in technical and business discussions with stakeholders, representing SnapSoft’s technical standards in client conversations, planning, and execution
Stay up to date with AWS innovations and pursue Associate, Professional, or Specialty certifications to deepen product/domain expertise
Contribute to the AWS Competency and Service Delivery Programs to support SnapSoft’s AWS Partner journey; participate in internal development work and mentor mid- and junior-level engineers
You are looking for us, if you have:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven technical leadership of projects, architecture reviews, mentoring
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong client-facing skills for driving refinements and planning sessions with the customer
2+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using AWS
In-depth knowledge of standard AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, IAM, API Gateway, EKS, CloudFront, EFS/EBS, Guard Duty, CloudWatch, KMS, etc.
2+ years of experience in at least one Infrastructure as a Code technology like Terraform (preferred), AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, AWS CDK or similar
2+ years of experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Bitbucket or similar)
2+ years of experience in creating and running container-based applications using Docker (Kubernetes/EKS knowledge is a plus)
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, VPN) and related AWS Services (CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53, ELB)
Strong understanding of security concepts (IAM, PoLP, Access Control, Endpoint Security, Data Encryption)
