Job description

As a high-potential Account Manager you will play an essential role in SnapSoft’s market expansion into Germany and Central Eastern Europe, and work closely with SnapSoft leadership and founders. You will build on the success we have seen so far in these regions, partnering with our Head of Business Development to grow the organization, delight our customers, and exceed revenue targets. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals. Your initial focus will be supporting start-ups in the region in their growth journey by driving cloud adoption, including diverse, cutting-edge AI/ML use cases and migrations to cloud technology. As the German organization scales quickly, this position has potential for various long-term career paths, as fits the candidate’s strengths and interests and evolving business needs.

What will you do?

Sales Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and IT product offerings

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and trends in the cloud industry

  • Collaborate with senior management to reach sales goals and objectives

Client and Partner Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and AWS stakeholders

  • Understand clients' business needs and recommend appropriate solutions

  • Act as the main point of contact (CxO level) for escalated client issues or concerns

Sales Forecasting and Reporting

  • Monitor sales performance, track progress, and prepare regular sales reports

  • Forecast future sales trends and develop strategies to adapt to market changes

  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions

Contract Negotiation

  • Create proposals and quotes for customer projects

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the organization

  • At least 3 years in a similar role in a fast-paced digital environment with a proven track record of building lasting relationships and achieving targets

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and nurture positive relationships with clients, AWS, and colleagues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively

  • Proficiency in negotiation techniques to handle contract renewals, pricing discussions, and other client-related negotiations

  • Fluency in German and English (required)

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events (approximately 30%)

  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies (preferred)

  • Located in or near Munich, Germany (preferred)
